Downtown Farmers' Market

With only months to prep, the Edmonton Downtown Business Association rallied to produce a farmers’ market that had a long-standing history on 104th Street. Knowing the history of this market, we used nostalgia to tie the brand closer to the roots of its origin. Hand-painted lettering gave a nod to old roadside fruit and vegetable stands that rely on primary colors to make their message pop. We even brought in an artist who hand-painted 8-foot-tall sandwich boards for the opening day of the market. The market’s return sparked excitement, with a vendor waitlist, extensive media coverage, and a renewed sense of connection for downtown Edmonton.
