Welcome to Berlin, Alberta, Fashion Week—our affectionate little tribute to our namesake city’s actual Fashion Week. Every time we run this little experiment, I become more convinced that one day, a poor, unsuspecting intern at the Berlin Fashion Week will stumble upon our content while scrolling through instagram. Their confusion will morph into intrigue. Their intrigue into obsession. And before you know it, we’ll be on an all-expenses-paid trip to the real Berlin Fashion Week, rubbing shoulders with Miss Anna Wintour herself. I mean, a girl can dream, right?

This year, our wonderful Art Director, Paulina, and I had the honor of putting together the 2025 Berlin, Alberta, Fashion Week. We had to curate a theme for each day of the workweek—something relevant, stylish, and just self-aware enough to remind everyone that yes, we’re still an ad agency, not full-time fashion influencers (though, given the right outfit and lighting, we can certainly pretend).

To determine the themes we did some internet sleuthing into the hottest trend predictions for 2025—consulting Vogue, Who What Wear, Marie Claire, and, of course, the holy grail of trends, Pinterest's Annual Trend Report. And thus, our lineup was born: Fisherman Aesthetic, Moto Boho, Pop of Red, Personalization, and Brown is the New Black.

Fisherman aesthetic isn't just a fun title, this trend is all about cozy sweaters, good boots and muted tones—perfect for an Alberta winter.

Instead of our usual morning coffee machine huddles, we took to the streets of downtown Edmonton (in -30°C weather by the way … sometimes beauty is pain), turning local cafés and sidewalks into our runways. Back at the office, we transformed everyday spaces into makeshift studios to document each look. Paulina stepped into the role of photographer for the week, and thanks to our lovely account coordinator, Devyn, our looks were posted on our social media channels to inspire (and also probably mildly confuse) our friends, clients and followers alike.

Mixing opposite styles has been trending for a while, 2025 will see a blend of flowy, soft boho with harder, bolder motorcycle elements.

Berlin, Alberta, Fashion Week is a celebration of the creativity that flows through our agency—not just in our work, but in the people who make it happen. Our team stems from diverse backgrounds—Art, Urban Planning, Marketing, Politics, etc—which makes for a truly dynamic space where unexpected ideas come to life. Oh, and last but not least, we just wanted a chance to wear some pretty cool clothes.

Pops of red have been trending for a while, but show no sign of slowing down because it's easy to do and elevates every outfit.
The people are tiring of following strict aesthetics, 2025 will be all about adding personal touches to your outfit.
Black is a classic, but have you tried dosing yourself in warm chocolate browns? The best trends are the cozy ones.
